BSNL is launching 3G services in Calicut tomorrow. Later this month 3G services will be extended to 21 cities across the state. BSNL is the first telecom operator in the state to offer 3G services to subscribers.

3G or Third Generation mobile offers high speed mobile broadband up to 3.6Mbpas, Video calls and ability to view video footage on mobile handsets. 3G will help Telecom operators to provide advanced user experience to customers.

BSNL 3G services will be available both on Post Paid and Pre Paid. BSNL sources said that tariff for the 3G services will be announced on 7th January 2010.

Launch of 3G services was much awaited by customers.
