Asianet Idea Star Singer 2008 Winners

Winners announced for the Asianet Idea Star Singer 2008. Vivekanand is the best male singer and Soniya is the best female singer. Vivekanad secured 77 marks from the judges. He received 110254 SMS votes from the viewers from all over the world. Soniya could secure 76 marks from the judges and received 106000 SMS votes.

Rahul Laxman is the first runners up and Gayathri is the second runners up. Jins Gopinath came in the 4th place and Prasobh came in the 5th place.

Asianet also announced Idea Star Singer Season 4 in the Grand Finale of Idea Star Singer 2008. Winners of Idea Star Singer 2008 received grand price of Rs. 1 crore Villa each from Confident group.

Kerala goes for voting today

Polling started in Kerala today at 07.00 AM. Votes can be polled till 05.00 PM. There are 20 parliament constituencies in Kerala. 2,18,65,324 voters in Kerala will elect 20 MPs today. 217 candidates are contesting from Kerala. This includes the UDF, LDF, BJP, smaller parties and independent candidates. There are 20,508 polling booths in Kerala.

Both the UDF and LDF fronts have stronger expectations from the results. Results will be declared on 16th May 2009. It is such a long wait to know the results. People are looking forward for a stable government which will bring in development to the entire nation. Keralais expecting for a peaceful polling today with the help of 60,000 strong security forces.

Loksabha Elections in Kerala is on 16th April 2009. To help voters, Chief Electoral Officer, Government of Kerala has published 2009 voters list online. Voters can search the electoral roll online by using the Election Identity card number or by keying in the name in Malayalam. Voters can also search the polling booth.
