I would like to introduce myself as a freelance journalist.
The contents and the photographs within are excellent but i think the cover page sholud go with the photos of sites than the persons.
I would also like to know whether we can submitt articles (English).

dear editor,
i happened to go through an article in yathra regarding the sun [konark] temple. i thought it would be apt to add one english poem written by ‘Medhini’ on the same subject in the interest of yathra readers.
**********************************************************************
Day and night, thousands of masons
worked hard to build Konark
temple, the entire stony work
in the form of a chariot,
driven by seven horses,
on twelve pairs of wheels.
The king of thirteenth century
desired to make a shrine
For his favourite diety,the sun.
The stones were carved meticulously
and joined one after the other
extending in all directions.
The strange folk tale goes like this—
The temple was almost done
except the last stone block
to be laid on the top,
the masons got perplexed
not knowing the exact position for it
as they didn’t want to invite
the king’s wrath for their mistake.
The last day had come
And leaving the temple
Incomplete could cost their lives.
A boy of twelve years old,
son of one of the masons,
whom his father didn’t see any time
dared to climb to the top
and laid the stone
in the right position.
The news reached the king’s ears
and the masons feared, their inability
might have invited death to them by the king.
Realising the gravity of the situation,
the brave boy jumped into the river, nearby
and embraced death as a step to save the masons.
The king grieved at the sad incident so much
that he ordered his subjects not to worship
at this marvellous shrine.
However, none worships here till date.
The temple stands in unique style
Surrounded by vast greenery
and light from electric bulbs,
away on the sides,reflects
elegantly , this amazing beauty, at night.
