Infosys plans to open its campus near Technopark in Trivandrum soon. It is on a 50 acre plot adjacent to Technopark. The campus has IT Special Economic Zone (SEZ) status. The SEZ would have two separate buildings, one is almost ready and work on the other is progressing. Both the buildings have capacity to seat 1,500 professionals. Innovative architecture of the new Infosys campus in Technopark is attractive. The first building is almost ready leaving some final touches to common amenities and a food court.
Currently Infosys has a development centre in Technopark Phase I campus employing 1,500 professionals. Infosys preferred to inaugurate both the buildings together in late 2009 or early 2010, however Kerala state Government wants the IT major to open the first building at the earliest. Construction was started in the new Infosys campus in 2007.
