Information Kerala Mission (IKM) has launched yet another useful feature. Now you can pay property tax online in Kerala through the e-Payment facility. IKM is the flagship e-governance project of Government of Kerala. The facility is now available in Thiruvananthapuram Corporation. Through this facility, building tax can be paid online for properties within Thiruvananthapuram Corporation. Ministry of Local Self Governance, Government of Kerala has informed that the online facility for payment of property tax will be extended to other local bodies as well. The feature will be extended to accept payment of Professional Tax also online.
This facility will be of great help for Non Resident Keralites who has property in Kerala. Now they can make payment from anywhere in the world. The payment can be made using Credit / Debit Cards and Net banking facilities. The e-Payment facility is tied up with leading banks to ease the process.

I have registered, but the data bank not complete with the previous history of tax payment made through JanasevaKendra. Consequently the facility prompting to show the dues of previous years which already paid!

Please update your portal user friendly. It is not working properly as regsitration could not be confirmed. Don’t fool citizens by issuing press statements but get in to system and see whether the Government is making the site available to them to access the status and pay the property tax on line. There may be many bureaucrats and employees in the Municipal Corporations who may not like the new system as they need some under table money or grease their palms to pay the Property Tax. The least Government can do is to treat the Tax payer as a VIP as he is paying the tax with his hard earned money sincerely as a good citizen and with this tax income only many projects are executed and the salaries of the corporation employees are paid.

Yesterday,when I registered for Online Payment, it was shown on the screen that an Authorisation Code would be sending as Email but it has not yet been received. Next month I may have to pay tax and as such, I request you to make it possible online payment.
